Our Mission is to Empower You!Welcome to our special organization. The Bettie D. Gonzalez Foundation of Hope was established and named in honor of our beloved mother. At the age of 38, she lost her battle with a rare form of cancer, leaving six children (Michele, Suzy, Ken, Beth, Cheryl & Andrea) motherless, ages 7-16. Although we only had our mother for a short time, she taught us well. Her loving and compassionate spirit lives on in each of us. Our hope is that this foundation creates a legacy that would make her proud. We understand first-hand what it feels like to be motherless and we understand you are faced with your own unique challenges as you navigate your life without your mother. The official mission of our foundation is to "Empower, Serve and Mentor Motherless Daughters." We do this through offering a mentoring program for you. In addition, the Foundation also awards scholarships in the name of our beloved mother, Bettie D. Gonzalez.
Please take a look around our website, consider requesting a mentor and possibly applying for our Bettie Dorothy Gonzalez Remembrance Scholarship. Also look through our Photo Gallery to see events we've hosted for young women who are all motherless. No one can ever say they know exactly how you feel, but there are many motherless daughters who understand many of your emotions. We would like to be a support network for you and perhaps help you connect with some of these other motherless daughters or a mentor who can be a trusted friend.
